Pre-Funding

Part of advanced funeral planning is pre-funding. Funds accepted in advance of funeral services at our funeral homes are placed in revocable and irrevocable life insurance policies. Unlike some insurance programs whose benefits never grow, this life insurance coverage is specifically designed to keep up with the rising cost of funerals. This annual increase helps assure that your survivors will not have to pay any additional money for specific goods and merchandise that you have selected. Our funeral home agrees to provide the services and merchandise that you have selected for the proceeds available. Any additional proceeds remaining after all funeral expenses are paid will be returned to the named beneficiary.

Our funeral home is a participant with the Forethought Life Insurance Company in Batesville, Indiana and the Homesteaders Life Company in Des Moines, Iowa. They are special companies that only offer these unique plans for funding prearranged funerals. They do not offer any other types of insurance. Features of Our Insurance Programs:

Coverage from ages 0-99
No physical required
Single or multi-pay options: Payment options include 3, 4, or 10 years. If a death occurs during the payment period, the funeral is paid.
Not considered as an asset towards federal and state supplement programs or residence in nursing and special care facilities.
