Services
How do I find a funeral home that will offer the best quality professional services at the best value?
Most funeral homes have been established in their communities for some time. By asking your clergyman, community leaders, neighbors or friends, you can determine which funeral homes have earned a good reputation for service in the community. Then visit a funeral home of your choice. Be sure to ask candid questions about staff, costs, facilities and reputation. Feel free to compare funeral homes before choosing one that offers the service and facilities that are important to you.
Do you conduct military funeral services?
We are in constant contact with all our local veterans groups and with their help, accord military honors such as honor guard, flag services, firing squad, and taps. We are proud to fly the American flag at all of our funeral homes in memory of those who served our country during its time of need.
Can your funeral home conduct a funeral service, cremation, or burial out of town?
Yes. Our facilities are located in Carbondale, Pennsylvania and Clifford, Pennsylvania, but this does not limit us to any geographic area. We are able to conduct funeral services, cremations or burials in any location we are asked to serve. Regardless of the day, time or place of death it is important to contact Parise Funeral Home, Shifler-Parise Funeral Home or Wade Funeral Home first. Failure to call us first may result in duplication of services and excess cost.
Can you help us with our insurance claim?
We're here to help. We know that filing insurance claims can be a confusing, time-consuming procedure, and unfamiliar forms are just another added burden. That is the reason that many families ask us if we can assist in handling life insurance policies.
We have claim forms for most insurance companies and we are familiar with how they should be filed. We can make sure that these important benefits are obtained without delay. We know that this is the kind of extra service that families appreciate -- especially in times of stress.
Are your funeral homes handicapped accessible?
Yes. All of our funeral homes and our casket display room are fully handicapped accessible. Ramps are located at the front entrances to our buildings and our parking lots have designated spots. We also have handicapped restrooms, baby change stations and wheelchairs available.
How can a funeral be personalized?
It is becoming more common to tailor a funeral service to the personality of the deceased. Prayers and remembrances offered by family and friends, favorite music, treasured belongings, pictures and mementos can all play a major role in making the final tribute fitting and moving. The family can choose to assemble a display containing family photographs, favorite possessions, items from a hobby or awards the deceased received. These items help shift the emphasis of the services to the memories of the person's life, rather than on the circumstances of his or her death. Personalization can also be added by simply choosing the most appropriate services and products available from the funeral home. These can include customizing casket interiors to the deceased's favorite color, embroidering casket blankets or back panels, printing the deceased's picture on memorial folders or prayer cards, creating memorial tribute videos from pictures of your loved one, or honoring veterans by selecting veteran theme caskets, vaults, urn vaults or urns.
