Thomas R. Conklin, 65, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his wife the former Lorraine Martin.
Born March 1, 1952 in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late Dorothy Allen Antoniades and the step son of the late Nicholas Antoniades
Tom was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and Penn State University's Worthington Scranton Campus. He was a veteran of the Navy having served during the Vietnam War. Tom had been employed by Roadshow Services in San Francisco, California for many years. As a lead truck driver for the company he was responsible for transporting the stage, sound and entertainment equipment for musicians such as Pearl Jam, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and many others. His job allowed his family the opportunity to have back stage access to many concerts and musicians.
Tom enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, listening to rock and roll music, and spending time on his fully restored 1967 36' Chris Craft boat which he docked at Spicer's Marina in Clayton, NY.
He is survived by four children: Thomas Robert Conklin and wife Heather of Binghamton, NY, Paul James Conklin and wife Jennie of Nicholson, PA, Thomas Edmond Conklin of Greenfield Township, PA and Tracy Jo Conklin and wife Kim of Vestal, NY; one sister: Cheryle Antoniades Adams and husband Chris of Vero Beach, FL; several grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Angela Conklin who died in 1985.
