Adelaide "Addie" Byrnes, 102, formerly of Greenfield Township, PA, died Monday morning, March 26, 2018 at the Forest City Nursing Center, Forest City, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Byrnes.
Born May 25, 1915 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose Melger Fiorillo.
She was a retired from the maintenance department of the Union Carbide Corporation in Wayne, NJ. In her later years, she enjoyed going to bingo and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was a loving and caring person who was full of love for her entire family. She always like to share a story that when she was living in New Jersey, she gave a young man who was a hitchhiker a ride one day, that young man happened be Frank Sinatra.
She is survived by two sons: Melvin Douglas Byrnes of Greenfield Township and William Byrnes and wife Lei of Greenfield Township; grandchildren: Heather Byrnes, Jacob Byrnes and Louis and Cindy Malinchak; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her step daughter: Carol Malinchak; a grandson: James Malinchak; seven brothers: Albert, Michael, Fernando, Julius, John, Edward and William Fiorillo; three sisters: Clara Conforth, Susan Lombardi and Minnie Miller.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
