Obituary of Eileen Cyganick

Eileen Cyganick, 86, of Jefferson Township, PA, died Friday morning, April 6, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA, after an extended illness. Her husband, Joseph B Cyganick died on July 22, 1991.

Born April 1, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Sarah Petrowski Cox..

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Thomas A. Snook Post 6520, Jefferson Township. She was of the catholic faith and was a former member of St. Thomas Moore Church, Lake Ariel, PA.

She is survived by one daughter: Carolyn Balconis of Lake Ariel, PA; three sons: Michael Cyganick of Lake Ariel, PA, Thomas Cyganick of Honesdale, PA and Steven Cyganick of Carbondale, PA; one sister: Nancy Mupo of Delaware; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, William Cyganick; a grandson: Harry Cyganick; three brothers: John, Richard and Andrew Cox; a sister: Patricia Eagan.

The funeral was held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Thomas McCann. Interment, Simon Cemetery, South Canaan, PA.

Pallbearers: Steven Cyganick, Michael Cyganick, Jonathan Cyganick, Joseph Utegg, William Jackson and John Balconis.
