Hospice of the Sacred Heart
Offers a variety of bereavement programs at different times during the year and at various locations throughout their service area. No charges or fees are associated with the programs listed on their website, however, some may require pre-registration and there may be a limit on the number of participants.

Self-help support organization assists bereaved families following the death or a child of any age. They offer chapters in both the Scranton area and Wayne County.

Pushing On: Support For Moms

A Scranton based support group for Moms after pregnancy loss. The program was started by a group of health professionals who are dedicated to supporting grieving women and offers monthly group meetings.

Children's Bereavement Groups And Camps

Hospice of the Sacred Heart

Offers two programs to assist children who have suffered the loss of a loved one:
DRAGONFLY PROGRAM - is a six-week grief education series especially designed for children ages 6 through 12 and their parents or guardians who have suffered a loss from the death of a loved one. The main focus is teaching coping skills and furthering the parents' ability to help their children.
CAMP HEALING HEARTS - uses a day camp experience to provide grief education to children, ages 8-14, who have
experienced the loss of a loved one. Children will work with trained bereavement counselors and community members
versed in the arts to help progress towards the acceptance of loss utilizing different art forms as a means of self-expression.

Camp Koala

Offers residential (3 day) camps for any child age 7-12 who has experienced the loss of a parent, primary caregiver or sibling. Any teen 13-18 can attend their Teen Camp.
