Jeffery A. Van Deusen, 53, of Carbondale, PA, died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his companion of 22 years Cindy Rosar of Carbondale.
Born July 3, 1968 in Johnson City, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Van Deusen and Nancy Hadden Van Deusen Sporer. He was also the stepson of the late Ed Sporer.
Raised in South Canaan, he was educated in Western Wayne Schools and also was a graduate of Lackawanna College. Jeff had a great business mind, owning and operating Van Deusen's Prosthetics and Orthotics, Simpson, along with a few successful local business adventures. Jeff had a tremendous love, loyalty and dedication to family and friends. He believed that "things can always be worse," so appreciate what you have now.
The family would like to thank Jeff's close friend and neighbor Barbie Supinski and the staffs of Traditional Hospice, Dunmore and Dr. T.J. Luma for their compassionate care and support to his family.
He is also survived by his loving daughter: Madison Van Deusen; son: Brian Rosar, Jr. and wife, Krystle and granddaughter: Sophia "Little Buddy" Rosar, all of Carbondale, PA, along with brothers: Jesse Van Deusen and wife, Lynnette, Bob Van Deusen and wife, Sylvia and Chris Sporer and companion, Amber Duffy; sisters: Amy Hancock, Barbara DePersis, Tina Sporer, Cindy Webb and husband, Bob, Pamela Frizzell and Pat Van Deusen; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Robert Hancock.
A funeral service was held Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Thomas Muldowney.
A viewing was held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were sent to Traditional Hospice, 113 W. Drinker Street, Dunmore, PA, 18512.
