Clarita M. Piccotti

Clarita Marie Piccotti, 82, of Clarks Summit, PA and formerly of Carbondale, PA, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Piccotti on March 12, 2016.

Born October 23, 1939 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alberta Kilker McNulty.

Clarita was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and received her bachelor's degree in education from Marywood College. She began her career as a teacher for St. Rose School and left teaching to raise her family. Clarita assisted her husband in the operation of their business, McNar Corporation which was based in Schenectady, NY. She later became a librarian at the Valley Community Library in Peckville, PA, for nine years. Clarita will be fondly remembered for her keen sense of humor and gregarious personality.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dr. Lisa Thomas, Dr. Tamrat Bekele and Dr. Joseph Bannon and their staffs for their kind and compassionate care.

She is survived by two children: Russell D. Piccotti and wife, Stacy of South Abington Township, PA and Susan Corwin and husband, Dean of Clarks Summit, PA; three grandsons: Gavin Corwin and Anthony and Matthew Piccotti; a sister: Melanie Licata of Niskayuna, NY; a sister-in-law: Barbara McNulty of Alexandria, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Charles McNulty.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit, PA, by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Pallbearers: Anthony Piccotti, Matthew Piccotti, Gavin Corwin, Mark Licata, Thomas McNulty, Frank McNulty and Michael McNulty.

Viewing hours were held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, and Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the church.
