Neal Gray

Neal Gray, 63, of Greenfield Township, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 unexpectedly at home.

Born March 27, 1959 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ann Malinchak Gray and spent his childhood growing up in Greenfield Township.

A graduate of Lakeland high School he also achieved a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State. After college he moved to the Owego, NY, area where he obtained a position at Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer working on complex military systems allowing him to travel throughout the United States.

Following a catastrophic accident, he became disabled and moved to Greenfield Township. He loved technology and provided his technical expertise to anyone with an iPhone, Smart T.V. or computer. Before his injury he enjoyed motorcycles and the outdoors and had fond memories of boating on the Finger Lakes of New York State.

At home his mother provided care to him until her death along with the many home aides throughout the years with Allied Services home attendant care program. That care enabled him to stay at home but also allowing him to be surrounded by a loving family giving him assistance with any kind of need.

He is survived by a son: Spencer Gray of Broomfield, CO; a sister: Sharron Wallace and husband, Michael of Scranton, PA; an uncle: Philip Podhyski of Greenfield Township, PA; and cousins that loved him dearly, Philip Podhyski, Jr., Kathy Malinchak Giovannari, Carol Podhyski, Diane (Podhyski) Saxon and Robert Malinchak all of Greenfield Township, PA.

Neal will be missed deeply and fondly remembered as a kind and sensitive soul.

Private funeral services were held at the family's convenience.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
