Obituary of Evelyn Cosklo

Evelyn A. Cosklo, 82, of Crystal Lake, PA, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Cosklo, on July 12, 1994.

Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Emelio and Maria Galiano Bruno.

She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and had been employed in the local garment industry for over 40 years. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale.

Evelyn was loving, caring and generous and always put the needs of others above her own. She had a special love for children and will be fondly remembered by her family as a special person who helped raise two generations of her family.

She is survived by one son: David Cosklo and wife, Kimberly, and their children, Alyssa and Megan, all of Crystal Lake; four step children; Patti Brown, Debbie Orme, Andy Cosklo and Donna Fry; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her son: William "Willie" Cosklo; five brother's: Thomas, Alex, Joseph, Fiore and Emelio Bruno; five sister's: Lena Cavacchi, Mary Soares, Adeline Rinaldi, Rose Qualtere and Amelia Ross.

The funeral was held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. James Price, C.P., pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Pallbearers: Gene Cosklo, Jr., Ryan Cosklo, Andy Cosklo, Fred Moase, Sr., Attorney Fred Moase, Michael Mahoski, Mark Bruno and Thomas Bruno.
