Obituary of Isadora Eakle

Isadora H. Eakle, 75, Jessup, PA, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Geisinger CMC, Scranton, PA, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Eakle, Sr., who died April 10, 2004.

Born January 18, 1943 in Cortland, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Isadora Wilder Crossman. She was a faithful member of the Faith Baptist Church, Peckville, PA.

She is survived by nine children: Mary McManus and husband Jerry, David Eakle and wife Bess, John Eakle and wife Melissa, Charles Eakle, James Eakle and wife Mellody, Linda Towers and husband Danny, Carolyn Bryant and husband Pat, Janice Wood and Raymond Eakle, Jr., and wife Linda; two sisters: Cathy Swan and Patricia Crossman; three brothers: James, David and Steve Crossman; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three children: Paul, Sara and William Eakle; and one brother: Donald Crossman.

Friends called Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church, 545 Keystone Avenue, Peckville, PA. A funeral service was conducted at 6 p.m. by Pastor Robert Vigil. Following the church service, a celebration of life service was conducted at the Mayfield Hose Company, 900 Maple Street, Mayfield, PA.

Interment was held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cortland Rural Cemetery, Cortland, NY.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
