Obituary of Betty Julia

Betty Julia, 84, of Bethlehem, PA, and formerly of Greenfield Township, PA, died Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Old Orchard Health Care Center, Easton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. "Dick" Julia, on July 7, 2015.

Born May 17, 1935 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Natale and Mildred Stungus Mazza.

She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale.

She is survived by one son: Ronald Julia, MD. and wife, Dr. Ellen Mary of Bethlehem; two grandchildren: Ronald Julia, Jr. MD. and wife, Brianna of Macungie, and Helen Elizabeth Julia of Bethlehem; one great grandson: Seamus Julia; one sister: Rosemarie Cuce of Carbondale; one brother: Joseph Mazza of Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Natale and Dominic Mazza.

The funeral was Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Seth Wasnak, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Palbearers: Ronald Julia, Jr. MD, Paul Canevari, Joseph Cuce, Tony Carito and Jim Cuce.

Friends called Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were made to the Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company, 424 Route 106, Greenfield Twp, PA 18407
