Obituary of Richard V. Alessi

Richard V. Alessi, 68, of Clifford Township, PA, died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his wife the former, Linda M. Lee.

Born August 30, 1952 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Virgil and Marilyn Kurth Alessi.

After retiring from Coca-Cola in Maspeth, NY., Rick relocated to NEPA and opened Rick`s Place, a sports collectible booth at Sugarman`s Market Place. He made many great friends whom he considered family and reunited with old friends from childhood all through the love of sports.

He is survived by four children: Christopher Alessi, Joshua Spivack, Justin Alessi and Sarah Alessi; and a grandson: C.J. Alessi.

The family received friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA.
