Obituary of Bette L. Mullisky

Bette Lou Mullisky, 74, of Carbondale, PA, died Monday, July 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of James E. Mullisky, who died on March 15, 2021.

Born August 11, 1946 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late William "Chilly" and Bette Williams Rosler.

Bette Lou was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and had been employed for 30 years at Marian Community Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. After retirement, she later worked part time at Adams Cable as a night time operator. She loved to go shopping, especially for clothes and was very particular that all of her outfits matched.

Bette Lou died of a broken heart over the recent losses of her husband of 38 years and her loving daughter who died two years ago. She is now at peace with both of them in Heaven. She will be deeply missed by her family.

She is survived by two children: Karen Roberts and Jameson Mullisky both of Carbondale, PA; a granddaughter: Chelsea Castle; a sister: Mary Ellen Fife of Carbondale Township, PA; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Brenda Kahn; and a brother: William Rosler.

As per her request, she will be cremated and both her and Jim will be entombed at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
