Obituary of Charles Puza

Charles Puza, III., 74, of Lenox Township, PA, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Weber City, VA, while traveling to his winter home in Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Betty Ann Rushworth on February 17, 2006.

Born December 20, 1946 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles Puza, II. and Frances Mensel Puza.

Charlie was a longtime area businessman and prior to his retirement, he was employed as an independent truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, farming, the outdoors and winters in Florida. He cherished the time spent with his family.

He is survived by seven children: James Rushworth of Meshoppen, PA, Charles Puza, IV. of Scott Township, PA, Joseph Puza of Carbondale, PA, John Puza of Carbondale, PA, Tracy Lombardo of Olyphant, PA, Stephen Puza of Hernando, FL, and Connie Milliken of Shortsville, NY; two sisters: Frances Clements of Hernando, FL and Irene Puza of Boca Raton, FL; a niece who he considered as a daughter: Rose Peters; 18 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Per Charlie's request, private funeral services will be held at the family convenience from Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
